Hickory Creek Healthcare Foundation wants to ensure that residents receive tasty, attractive and nourishing food that reflects physicians’ orders, including prescribed therapeutic diets. We provide at least three meals at regular times, as well as bedtime snacks every day. We use the services of a qualified Dietitian who works with the Director of Food Service at each home.
To encourage our residents to remain active, we provide ongoing programs at each home, directed by a qualified activities professional, that are designed to meet the needs and interests of our residents. We encourage the involvement of our residents in planning activity programs such as social activities; spiritual and worship programs; arts; crafts; music; drama; educational; exercise; and bringing the local community to the residents.
Physical Therapy
Individually designed exercises; wound care; pain reduction; and promotion of endurance and independence.
Occupational Therapy
Training in self care; homemaking skills; training and use of specialized equipment.
Speech Therapy
Speech evaluations; treatment of swallowing difficulties; communication aids; and hearing evaluation.
We provide housekeeping services along with personal laundry and linen service.
In addition to the services shown above, we provide restorative nursing; respite care for short stays; hospice care; and assistance with daily care.
Our homes have comfortable, furnished lounges and dining areas; beauty shop and barber services; as well as in-house banking and postal services through our Business Office. In many of our homes we have flat screen TVs and Wii fitness games.
Certain pets may be allowed in the nursing home at the discretion of the Administrator with the decision based on what’s best for the welfare of all the residents. Reputable animal visitation services are welcome in the nursing home as long as the organization can provide evidence the animals are fully immunized and under the care of a licensed veterinarian.
